A seven-year professional at Rare, George is a former vice president of operations for The Capital Grille, another Rare Hospitality brand. "He has been integrally involved in the growth of LongHorn Steakhouse for many years and we have the utmost confidence in his ability to lead the concept in the next stage of its growth," says Rare president and chief operating officer Gene Lee.

Tied in George's new responsibilities is the promotion of Thomas A. Pannullo to vice president of operations for LongHorn. Pannullo previously was region vice president for LongHorn's Midwest territory. His primary responsibility will be to lead the concept's team of regional vice presidents.

Rare Hospitality owns, operates and franchises 218 restaurants, including 178 LongHorn Steakhouse restaurants, 22 Bugaboo Creek Steak Houses and 16 Capital Grilles.
