A loan of $1.75 million is awarded to Philadelphia-based Home Line Furniture Industries Inc. for the acquisition and renovation of a 298,270-sf building on Wheatsheaf Lane. The property, formerly known as the Foamex Industries GFI division site, is located within a Keystone Enterprise Zone. Home Line plans to expand its assembly operations in Philadelphia. The Philadelphia Industrial Development Corp.'s financing arm is the local sponsoring agency.
PIDC Financing Corp. has been awarded a $1.25-million loan for the acquisition and renovation of the 140,170-sf former Staples building on Decatur Road in PIDC Northeast Airport Park, Philadelphia. Plans call for conversion of the building into a multi-tenant facility. Approximately 10% will be leased to Staples Contract & Commercial Inc., and 78% will be leased to Pierce Phelps, a distributor of HVAC, electronics and appliances.
West Conshohocken-based Gotham Distributing Corp. has been awarded a $915,000-loan to acquire a 52,000-sf building on a three-acre site on Portland Road. Gotham manufactures and distributes audiotapes, CDs and DVDs and plans to consolidate its production facilities at the site. Montgomery County Industrial DevelopmentCorp. is the sponsoring agency.
On the western side of the state, Tyrone, PA-based CCK Inc., a meat processor, obtained a $1.48-million loan to construct a 22,000-sf building and renovate a portion of an existing property within a 2.49-acre KOZ site. Altoona-Blair County Development Corp. is the sponsor.
Chartiers Township-based Trident Rubber Inc., which makes hoses for the marine industry, is awarded a $400,000-loan to acquire and renovate a 23,988-sf building located on a Brownfield site on Plum Road in Houston, PA, in Washington County. Washington Industrial Development Corp. is the sponsor.
