Jacobs Engineering Group Gets Florida Courthouse Contract

MIAMI-A subsidiary of publicly traded Jacobs Engineering Group Inc., based in St. Louis, has been awarded a contract from the US General Services Administration to provide construction management services for federal courthouse projects in South Florida and the rest of the state. Jacobs Engineering Group received an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract, the value of which was not disclosed.

The company will do work throughout Florida and whenever GSA needs the company’s services, Jacobs will go in and do construction management, a spokesperson for Jacobs Engineering Group tells GlobeSt.com. Specific projects planned were not disclosed at deadline, however the contract would apply to new construction, expansions or refurbishments.

The company says it will provide a wide range of construction management services for the design and construction of new federal courthouse buildings that will cost $34 million to $170 million. Services to be provided include construction management, design review, estimating, scheduling, construction inspection and coordination, closeout, commissioning oversight, as well as technical and supplemental studies.
