Post Plucks Veteran Senkbeil from Carter

ATLANTA-After promising shareholders recently that it would aggressively market its assets, executives at locally based Post Properties Inc. have hired one of the industry’s leading acquisitions and dispositions specialists in Thomas D. Senkbeil.

Senkbeil comes to Post from Atlanta-based Carter & Assoc. Inc. where he was president and chief operating officer. As chief investment officer at Post, the 54-year-old industrial engineering graduate from Auburn University will be expected to use his 30 years of experience in development, asset management and joint ventures to grow the company’s portfolio of 29,308 apartment homes in 79 communities.

“Having worked closely with Tom, I know first-hand of his skills and ability,” says Post president David P. Stockert. “I expect him to make an immediate impact on our efforts to continue unlocking the value of the Post portfolio.”
