Long Island Complex Signs Another Big Tenant

MELVILLE, NY-Polar Electro Inc., a producer of heart rate monitors, is relocating from Woodbury, NY to the iPark Lake Success complex here. Taking 51,500 sf, this deal falls on the heels of a recent L.A. Fitness transaction completed at the same location.

MELVILLE, NY-The iPark Lake Success complex here is attracting a lot of attention recently. The Long Island property has inked a deal with Polar Electro Inc. for 51,500 sf, marking it the second major transaction to close at this suburban business park in only two weeks.

A producer of Polar Heart Rate Monitors for fitness and rehabilitation centers, Polar Electro is relocating from 370 Crossways Park Dr. in the nearby suburb of Woodbury, NY. The company will now occupy space in iPark’s main building, 111 Marcus Ave., for the next ten years, serving as its North American headquarters.

“This move is due to our development over the past four years,” says Philippe Duleyrie, Polar’s president. “During that time our business nearly doubled and we increased our personnel by 40% to 90 people. We expect that trend to continue.”
