NWEEA is considering entering into an initial lease term of two-and-a-half years with the ability to commit to an extended lease term based upon continued funding for our programs. The agency says it is willing to sublease space and anticipates paying market rates in the range of $12-20 per sf.

The Portland City Council created the Office of Sustainable Development in the fall of 2000 to research and promote environmental, social and economic health in the City. NWEEA launched its BetterBricks initiative in June 2002 to raise awareness and demand for energy efficiency in buildings by sharing information and resources with the people who design, own and operate them.
