RS Information Expands to Maryland

GAITHERSBURG, MD-The office property at 656 Quince Orchard Rd. has opened its door to a new tenant. Spurred by the recent award of a new government contract, computer engineering company RS Information Systems has decided to add to its McLean, VA-based offices by taking on additional space in the 107,000-sf Quince Orchard building in Maryland. RS Information will occupy 30,600 sf on the fourth and fifth floors of the seven-story structure. While the financial terms of the company’s lease have not been disclosed, space in the building rents for about $23.50 per-sf.

Built in 1979, 656 Quince Orchard is also home to DynCorp and Schnabel Engineering Associates Inc. With RS Information’s recent commitment to space, the building is now 87% leased. Real estate services firm McShea & Co Inc. negotiated the transaction on behalf of property owner Federal Realty Investment and Donohoe Real Estate Services represented the tenant.
