Hospitality Purchasers Elect New Leader

WASHINGTON, DC-Changes are afoot at the International Society of Hospitality Purchasers Inc. with the organization’s recent selection of a new president. San Francisco-based Ramsey Purchasing principal Jennifer Ramsey has been elected to the position. She will step into the shoes of outgoing president and ISHP co-founder Alan Benjamin, who had held the title since 2001. Benjamin, managing partner of Benjamin West LLLP, was named past president and remains on the board of directors.

“Alan solidified and expanded our organization during his two-year tenure, and my goal is to continue building on that base,” Ramsey says. Ramsey plans to heighten ISHP’s profile in the hotel industry, develop a uniform purchasing specifications guide and look into establishing professional accreditation for purchasing professionals.
