100 Maiden Lane is for Sale

NEW YORK CITY–The New York Capital Markets group of Jones Lang LaSalle has been retained to sell 100 Maiden Lane here by owner Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP. The property is 100% occupied by the owner who is vacating year-end 2004. The 24-story headquarters, which the firm reportedly paid $20 million for in 1984, is currently home to more than 400 attorneys and administrative departments, including accounting, associate development and recruitment, employee benefits, human resources, information technology, marketing and communications, office services and records and conflicts. A Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft spokesperson tells GlobeSt.com that the firm has “grown considerably and simply ran out of space.”

Noble Carpenter, Mark Marasciullo and Jay Miele are the Jones Lang LaSalle team handling the sale, the third assignment in the tri-state area for the Capital Markets group since the beginning of the year.
