Investor Buys 105,000-SF Industrial Building

FORT LAUDERDALE-Gary Hillert, who paid $3.5 million for the building, plans to try to lease it out. The building sits on 4.52 acres and has been vacant for nearly a couple of years, when U.S. Foodservice moved out.

FORT LAUDERDALE-Gary Hillert, a local investor, has purchased a 105,000-sf industrial building for approximately $3.5 million. The sellers were Dick Siemens and Steve Wolf. The sales price equates to about $33.33 per sf.

The building is located on 4.52 acres at 1160 W. 13th St. It is the former U.S. Food Service building. U.S. Foodservice, a national food service distributor that markets and distributes private label, national and signature brand items across the country, moved out a couple of years ago, leaving the building vacant for the past couple of years.
