Major tenants include Merck Medco, GM Corp., Marriott International, Alltel Communications and John Hancock Financial, according to a prepared statement by Anthony Thompson, chairman and CEO of Triple Net.

Thompson couldn't be reached for comment. However, a company representative says the property at 5701 E. Hillsborough Ave. was built in 1975 and converted to an office and technology center in June 1999. The average quoted rent range is $18 per sf.

Occupancy at closing was 72%. The property is located in the Hillsborough County submarket where the estimated vacancy factor is 12%. The company's statement says Triple Net Properties manages a "growing" portfolio of over 10 million sf of commercial properties having a market value of $1 billion.
