Construction of Queen's Pointe, a rental complex on a 3.47-acre site betweenKing and Queen Streets in the borough of Northumberland and Point Township,will break ground with almost $1.5 million in PHFA funds along with $264,005in housing tax credits. The complex will contain 24 three- and four-bedroomunits in 12 two-story buildings.
PHFA also provided $420,000 in renovation funding to the Housing Association ofTyrone, PA, which owns Washington Terrace, a 22-unit, two-building rentalcomplex at 400 Washington Ave. in Tyrone. The affordable housing complex wasbuilt in 1971 and is in need of significant upgrading.
