Formerly known as the Clear Blue data center in the Securities Building, the newly rehabbed space has been renamed the Securities Building Technology Center. As a result of the upgrades, the facility provides tenants with access to more than 150 providers of high-bandwidth Internet service as well as telecom services through its affiliation with the Westin Building.
"This space offers businesses the reliability and connectivity they need to compete in today's highly competitive e-business environment," says Westin Building Telecom Facilities manager Michael Boyle. "Over a five-year period, a company can save up to $200,000 leasing 2,000 sf at the Securities Building Technology Center instead of building out their own space, while at the same time retaining a much more reliable and robust site."
The Westin Building houses more than 150 telecommunications companies and is the largest carrier hotel in the Pacific Northwest. Clise Properties, which has assumed management responsibilities at the Securities Building, owns and manages more than 3 million sf of real estate in the downtown Seattle area.
