Located at 3762-3784 Mission Ave., the neighborhood shopping center encompasses 163,869 sf. It stands on a 20-acre parcel at the northwest corner of El Camino Real and Mission Avenue. Anchored by Stater Bros. and Sav-On Drugs, the property is also occupied by Blockbuster Video, Washington Mutual, Burger King and True Value Hardware.
The seller, Mission Center Associates LLC, was represented by Richard Lebert of Colliers International in the recent transaction. Lebert also acted on behalf of the buyer, Mission Center LLC, which counts Chris Coseo as managing member. Coseo is a local investor whose Southern California investments have included Fountain Plaza in San Diego, The Beachwalk in Solana Beach, Redrock Shopping Center in San Marcos, Lamplighter Village Apartments in El Cajon, Santee Towne Center in Santee and Redhawk Industrial in Temecula.
San Diego's retail market remains one of the healthiest in the country with shopping centers here continuing to demand high prices. Recent San Diego deals include the sale of Mira Mesa MarketCenter for $87 million and the sale of the College Grove Shopping Center for $26.3 million.
