Mayor Names Raffesberger to CCDC Board

SAN DIEGO-Business consultant and attorney Wayne Raffesberger joins the Centre City Development Corp. Board of Directors. As a board member, he will assist with negotiations and recommendations regarding property and project areas, redevelopment plans and implementation strategies.

SAN DIEGO-A new member has recently joined San Diego’s Centre City Development Corp., as Mayor Dick Murphy has appointed business consultant and attorney Wayne Raffesberger to the organization’s board of directors.

A Point Loma resident, Raffesberger is a longtime participant in San Diego’s redevelopment process. His previous experience includes a stint as the executive director of San Diegans Inc., a non-profit organization that focused on the revitalization of the city’s core. While working with this group, Raffesberger played an instrumental role in its 1993 merger with the Central City Association to create the Downtown Partnership, which currently works to advance Downtown San Diego through leadership, advocacy and education. Raffesberger also served as a representative for former Councilmember Ron Roberts and in 1993, acted as chief of staff to then San Diego Deputy Mayor Tom Behr.
