Deutsche originall bought the site in conjunction with Kingspark for £1.6million ($2.7 million) in 1998 with the benefit of a pre-let to Gefco UK Ltd. £6.3 million ($10 million) was spent on regrading the site to allow 15,000 cars to be parked on site, building a rail head and the 4,273 sq m (46,000 sq ft) pre-delivery inspection centre.
The purchaser was represented by Barrs Freer Smith.
