Harry Potter's House For Sale

LONDON-It's the ultimate in Harry Potter memorabilia. The house used for the film version of the young wizard's fictional home in Privet Drive is up for auction later this month

LONDON-Most of Harry Potter’s fans will have rushed out to purchase the most recent book by JK Rowling The Order of the Phoneix , but what if they could step inside the home were the film was made or even buy it?

The fictional house in Privet Drive, owned by Harry’s odious relatives the Dursleys, is in fact 12 Picket Post Close, Bracknell, Berkshire, which is due to be auctioned by FPDSavills at guide price of £250,000 on 22 July.

The owner of the three-bedroom modern house was approached by Warner Brothers to see if the property could be used in the first film, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Filming took place at the location over two weeks and 12 Picket Post Close was transformed into the home of the dreadful Dursley family.
