In her new post, she is responsible for operations, including budgeting, corporate reporting, managing staff and processing financial documentation for the firm's 14 commercial real estate brokers in its Fort Myers and Bonita Springs offices.

During her 30-year career, Hooker has worked in both commercial and residential real estate sales and management. Her early career included jobs with Gulf American Corp. and Chateau Building Corp., companies providing home sales; Howie Realty Inc.; and Gulfcoast Homes/Gulf Coast Realty.

In 1992, she joined Frank D'Alessandro Inc. as vice president and operations director. In 1998, D'Alessandro merged his company with VIP Realty to form Grubb & Ellis|VIP. During the company's four-year affiliation with Grubb & Ellis|VIP, Hooker was D'Alessandro's company president and qualifying broker. Just before joining Grubb & Ellis|VIP, Hooker was a realtor for Paul Homes Realty.
