To be completed at the end of 2005, it is expected to draw more than 2.5 million visitors in its first year, half of which may come from overseas. JLL describes the project as the largest-ever foreign direct investment in a visitor attraction in Singapore.

Located within the Marina Bay CBD, the Singapore Flyer will have a gross building area of approximately 16,000 square meters. Its foundation is a three-storey terminal building comprising tourist-related speciality shops as well as entertainment and food and beverage outlets. The rotating 150-meter observation wheel has 32 fully air-conditioned capsules, each capable of handling 25 passengers at a time.

JLL's International Director of Capital Markets Richard Johnson says the company's appointment marks "a significant and meaningful milestone" for Jones Lang LaSalle, which is celebrating 30 years in this region.
