Miltex inherited this property, which is located on eight acres, in May 2001 when it acquired the assets of the Moyco/Union Broach/Thompson Dental companies. Moyco/Union Broach operates from here, and Thompson is and will continue to be based in Missoula, MT. All three companies now conduct business under the Miltex entity.
State incentives helped secure the Miltex expansion plan. It provided a financial package that includes $300,000 in job creation tax credits and reimbursement of up to 75% of eligible training costs for new and existing Miltex employees through the state's customized job training program.
The building addition is expected to reach completion this October. Miltex anticipates adding 100 new jobs to its current 61-member staff here over the next three years.
Robert Perrett, president and CEO of Miltex, said the move will enable the company "to ship both surgical and dental products from one geographically strategic location . . . and shipping from a single location will improve our overall customer service."
