Dollar Tree has already moved into its new space, which is located at 1090 E. Vista Way. The five-year lease is valued at $652,376.

Chesapeake, VA-based Dollar Tree, which opened its first store in Dalton, GA in 1986, was operating 2,318 stores in 41 states as of May 3, 2003. The publicly traded company also reported in May that the square footage of its shops totaled approximately 13.9 million, a 4.8% increase from February 1, 2003 and a 27.4% increase from May 3, 2002.

In the first quarter of this year, Dollar Tree opened 54 stores, closed eight locations, and expanded or relocated 30 stores. Its first quarter 2003 sales of $615.6 million set a record for the company, exceeding its previous $590 million - $610 million guidance.
