Jameson's performance follows a similar industry outlook in the economy hotel sector by Smith Travel Research of Hendersonville, TN. Smith shows Revpar ranging from decreases of 2% to 4%. It also estimated a flat to 2% decline in Revpar for the entire lodging industry.

The Jameson Inn brand separately posted a June revenue per available room of $35.59 versus $35.13 in the same period last year. Signature Inns showed Revpar of $29.90 compared to $31.65 last year. The combined brands averaged $33.62 against $33.89 in June 2002.

On the occupancy side, Jameson Inns were 61.7% full for the month, compared to 61.4% last year. Signature Inns showed occupancy of 51% against 51.1% a year ago. The combined brands logged 58% occupancy versus 57.7% in June 2002.

The average daily rate in June for Jameson Inns was $57.69 per room compared to $57.19 last year. Signature Inns recorded an average $58.59 versus $62.01 per night in June 2002. The combined brands averaged $57.96 per room against $58.71 a year ago.
