West Creek Commons, which has a total of 58,549 sf, is anchored by a 44,000-sf Publix supermarket, opened in June. Construction costs for the project totaled approximately $10 million.
The shopping center, located at 4650 W. Hillsboro Blvd., is 96% leased because it is anchored by Publix, which helps to attract other tenants, according to a Stiles spokesman. Also, there is enough residential nearby to support the center, he says.
Construction on the center began in April 2002 and was finished in June. The property owner is West Creek Commons Ltd., a Stiles Partnership.
Architecture 6400 Inc., a division of Stiles Corp., designed the center. Stiles Construction Co. was the project's general contractor. Stiles Retail Group handles the leasing of the center and Stiles Property Management handled management for it.Stiles also opened two other shopping centers in June, both in Jacksonville.
