The locally based firm will design the sales center and all the property's public spaces. The firm plans to create a "tropical beachy" effect for Vue, with bamboo window treatments and sisal area rugs. Textiles will feature pineapples, monkeys and palm trees.

The sales center will have a kitchen and bath model and a beach club buyers can use while the building is under construction, according to Steven Gurowitz, president of Interiors by Steven G.

Gurowitz has been serving the design and real estate industry in South Florida for 20 years. His firm specializes in design of high-end luxury residential projects and has worked on such notable commercial projects as Las Olas River House, Mizner Country Club and Sands Pointe.

Vue residences will feature five units per floor and almost all homes will have an ocean view. The one-, two- and three-bedroom units will range from 910 sf to 1,800 sf. Prices start in the low $300,000s.

Demolition has begun on three motels on Vue's future site, and Vue's construction is set to begin in September.

The project's developer is Cornerstone Premier Communities, the luxury residential arm of multifamily developer Cornerstone Group.
