Rising at 5075 Campanile Dr., the development will consist of a 7,500-sf fellowship hall and a 7,856-sf preschool education facility upon completion. Both structures are being built using wood-frame, type V-1 construction. Build-out of the preschool is slated for this October, while construction of the church is expected to wrap up in January 2004.

Roel Construction Co. of San Diego is building the project for First Presbyterian Church, with Wayne Hickey serving as project executive, Rich Johnson as group manager and Ben Briggs as senior project manager. Wayne Holtan of San Diego-based Dominy & Associates Architects @domusstudio LLP is the project architect. Consultants to the design team include Solana Beach-based GNR Engineering and Engineered Systems and Kruse & Associates of San Diego.
