Chelsea Grand LLC is developing the Four Points by Sheraton, which will be located on 25th Street between Sixth and Seventh avenues. The full-service, 18-story hotel will feature 158 guest rooms, including two suites, and a full range of amenities. The site will consist of a restaurant, business services center, swimming pool, fitness center and 400 sf of meeting space.
Chelsea Grand is one of many hotel projects developed by the Majestic Group, headed by John Lam and Hung Luk. The locally based group has developed more than 10 hotels, primarily located here.
The selection marks another chapter in Interstate's long history with the ownership group. "We manage hotels for them in New York City and Philadelphia and we look forward to expanding on that relationship," says John Emery, president and COO of Interstate, of Arlington, VA. "We also have strong ties with Sheraton as manager of 22 other Sheraton hotels."
The Hilton Garden Inn is being developed by Joseph Pacitti and PRA Development of Philadelphia. The property is part of Somerset Square, a mixed-use development in greater Hartford, CT that consists of six office buildings, two retail complexes and several restaurants. The six-story, 150-room hotel will feature a swimming pool, fitness center, 24-hour business center and 24-hour convenience store. It will also offer 3,400 sf of meeting space.
