This five-star resort is situated on the seafront of Founty, a commercial zone near la Sonaba, 15 minutes from the city center of Agadir. Agadir is the second main seaport of Morocco (after Casablanca) and is considered the economic capital of the Moroccan south.

The property has 402 guest rooms including five "junior" suites, 16 "senior" suites and two "royal" suites. The property also includes include six restaurants, three bars, a spa, conference facilities and an 86,000-sf swimming pool.

"The addition ... enables Le Meridien to anchor its position in Morocco," says Hassan Ahdab, Le Méridien's regional managing director for Africa and the Indian Ocean. Le Meridien now manages four hotels in Morocco: Le Royal Mansour Meridien (Casablanca), Le Meridien N'Fis (Marrakech), Le Meridien Palais des Roses (Agadir) and Le Meridien Villa d'Anfa (Casablanca, opening scheduled for the first quarter of 2004).
