Atlantic Station Signs Rosa Mexicano

ATLANTA-Atlantic Station developer Jim Jacoby is bringing Rosa Mexicano, a name New York-based restaurant, to his $2 billion, 138-acre mixed-use venture nearing completion in Midtown and expected to open in late 2004.

The 19-year-old restaurant company will be leasing 6,500 sf in a freestanding building to be constructed in the Central Park section of Atlantic Station, says Bruce Macleod, the project’s retail managing director. Terms of the Rosa Mexicano lease were not disclosed.

Area retail brokers familiar with the Atlantic Station retail component tell GlobeSt.com the lease is probably for five years at an asking rent range of $20 to $25 per sf. The lease is the fourth retail deal Atlantic Station has completed in the past 30 days and brings its total retail leasing volume to 394,201 sf.
