"Each represents the leadership of their generation," says CBRE's CEO for New York Tri-State Region Mary Ann Tighe, noting that the pair, who are half-brothers, will focus on the Midtown Manhattan market.
While with I/ESG, Hollander completed deals including a 60,000-sf lease for David Yurman at 200 Hudson; a 400,000-sf disposition for Conde Nast at 825 Third Avenue; a 120,000-sf lease sublease disposition on behalf of Ziff Davis at 63 Madison; a 300,000-sf lease disposition for Argent Ventures at One Park Avenue; a 100,000-sf sublease disposition for Swiss Re Insurance at 230 Park Avenue; and a 70,000-sf acquisition for Petersen Publishing at 110 Fifth Avenue.
Zarba worked with Hollander on the Swiss Re Insurance disposition as well as a 15,000-sf deal for Barnard & Co. at 535 Madison; a 23,000-sf acquisition for Caminus Corporation; and a 7,000-sf renewal for Himmel Equities at 450 Park Ave.
Justin Royce, a University of Richmond graduate, who was interning at C&W and working with the brothers, is also joining CBRE as an associate. The team will be working at CBRE's 560 Lexington office until the consolidation to CBRE's headquarters at 200 Park Avenue at the end of September.
"This homecoming is especially timely, occurring only ten days after the completion of our merger," adds Joseph R. Harbert, general manager, New York City. "It clearly underscores the fact that CBRE's platform attracts the best real estate talent in the business."
