The sale is being conducted as part of a bankruptcy liquidation of the 74-year-old company.

The Ann Arbor property is a 16-door cross-dock distribution center at 5150 Carpenter Rd. The building is on 3.24 acres and has been closed since Sept. 3, 2002, when the company filed for bankruptcy protection.

The property will go to the highest bidder through an open auction slated for Thursday, Aug. 14.

A contract price of $324,000 has been established for the Ann Arbor property, which is near the intersection of Carpenter and Packard roads, just east of Interstate 94/U.S. 23.

Prior to the closure, two employees worked at the facility.

Interested parties in bidding on the property must submit a Request to be Designated a Qualified Bidder at www.cfterminals.com/overbidder.html prior to the start of bidding.

To date, 112 Consolidated Freightways properties throughout the U.S. have been sold for $227.9 million.

Potential bidders can learn more about the property at www.cfterminals.com or by calling Transportation Properties Company at 800/440-5155.
