Compuware is nearing the final touches after two years of construction on its new 15-story, $350 million headquarters in the city. The computer firm formerly had its main offices in Farmington Hills, but was scattered among nine different facilities around the metro area.

Key among those final moves is the filling of some 60,000 sf of retail space, mostly on the building ground floor.

Among those moving in are a Hard Rock Café and Credit Union One. A Compuware spokesman said concrete has already been poured for the stage and bar area at the Hard Rock and that construction is already past the midway point for the new credit union branch.

In addition, Compuware reports that Heritage Optical, and the Blends, a coffee and smoothie shop, have recently signed agreements to move in.

The spokesman said several other leases with well-known national and local firms are in the negotiation stage and likely will be announced soon.

Compuware is a software development and business services company that recently announced its earnings at $306 million, for the quarter ended June 30, 2003.
