The two-story, 65,000-sf addition includes construction of processing areas,all-chill additions, and the renovation of existing processing space intoemployee areas. It also calls for the demolition of existing officebuildings adjacent to the plant.
Greenville, SC-based Suitt Construction Co., a subsidiary of BE&K, willmanage the construction project, which is scheduled for completion in May2004. Suitt provides construction services to a broad range of industries in theUS and Mexico.
This newly announced project follows a recently completed $8-millionexpansion of the Farmers Pride facilities here, designed by the foodindustry specialist division of Lancaster, PA-based Webber/Smith Associates Inc.
