Law Firm Renews Lease on Long-Time Home

DETROIT-Honigman Miller has renewed its lease at the First National Building office Downtown, where it occupies about 20% of the 800,000-sf building.

DETROIT-One of the state’s largest law firms has renewed its lease at the First National Building Downtown.

“We are a Detroit law firm,” says Alan S. Schwartz, CEO of Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohen LLP. “The First National Building has always been our home, and, with the significant improvements being made to it, we want it to remain our primary location in the years ahead.”

Honigman Miller occupies approximately 162,760 sf of the 800,000-sf building. The building is owned by Lennar Partners, a subsidiary of LNR Property Corp. Lennar assumed ownership of First National in late 2002 and contracted Finsilver/Friedman Management Corp. to handle the management and leasing of the building. The building is located in the Campus Martius district.
