New $19M Technology Center Debuts in Romeo

ROMEO, MI-The local school system is opening a $19 million, $92,000 sf Engineering and Technology Center this fall, in this Macomb County town north of Detroit.

ROMEO, MI-A new $19 million, 92,000-sf Engineering and Technology Center will greet students in the Romeo, MI, Community Schools district this fall.The facility is on target to open August 27, said Gary Wilke, the director of the facility.

About 500 students are expected to takeadvanced science, math, engineering and computer-related classes in the new facility, which was designed by Fanning/Howey and Associates of Novi, MI. The building has something of an industrial look–an intentional effort, according to school administrators.
