The seller was Sanford Industries of Davie, FL. The property is located on Southwest 12th Avenue, an area with substantial industrial land.

At press time, Southeastern was not sure what it would do with the land, according to Buzz Smith of Stiles Realty Co., who represented the company in the transaction.

The company wanted to get the extra land in case it needed it for a facility for its freight operation, he says, but nothing is decided yet. More details may be available in six months or so; and, if the company does not end up needing the land, it would sell or develop it, he says.

Leon Banks of Codina Realty Services represented Sanford Industries.
