BASF Takes 45,000 SF at NJFTZ

MT. OLIVE, NJ-The chemical giant will use the space as an adjunct to its existing North American headquarters within Rockefeller's International Trade Center. Trammell Crow arranged the deal for the owner.

MT. OLIVE, NJ-Global chemical giant BASF has signed a lease for 45,000 sf at 450 Clark Dr. within Rockefeller Development Group’s New Jersey Foreign-Trade Zone/International Trade Center here. The Germany-based conglomerate will use the space to complement its existing North American HQ. No financial terms of the lease were disclosed.

The signing marks the initial deal arranged at the sprawling complex by Trammell Crow Co., which recently got the marketing assignment. Heading the effort for TCC are senior vice president Leo Paytas, vice president Mitchell Katz and senior associate Neal Heinz. Colliers Houston of Teaneck, NJ spoke for BASF in the latest transaction.

“The marketing campaign we have implemented at the NJFTZ is generating a strong reception among brokers as well as in the business community,” according to Paytas.
