Wylie Funeral Home Expands with New 11,000-SF Facility

RANDALLSTOWN, MD-After a decade at its facility in Baltimore, owners of the Wylie Funeral Home have decided to expand their presence in the area with the opening of a second location in Randallstown in Baltimore County. The new 11,000-sf locale will occupy a 3.5-acre parcel at 9200 Liberty Rd. within the Liberty Road Commercial Revitalization sector, where private business owners have invested $24 million over the last eight years. Owner Al Wylie will spend approximately $3 million to complete the state-of-the-art project, which will also feature a chapel and parking facilities to accommodate approximately 100 vehicles.

“Businesses that reinvest in our mature communities are the foundation of economic and community renaissance,” says county executive James T. Smith Jr. “The Wylie Funeral Home will be a valuable addition to the Liberty Rd. area and the Randallstown community as the county continues its commitment to renaissance and revitalization.” Construction will wrap up on the new facility by March of next year.
