Situated at the center of the city's Mount Vernon cultural and historic district on Franklin St., the 95-year-old property is just a hop-skip-and-a-jump from such popular area attractions as the Inner Harbor, the Peabody Conservatory and the Walters Art Gallery, as well as the Baltimore International College, which specializes in culinary arts and hospitality management. Mount Vernon was originally developed as a YMCA, but today, offers a state-of-the-art fitness facility, a business center and meeting space to accommodate as many as 100 individuals.

"After two-and-a-half years of an economic downtrend, owners realize they need more from their operators," explains Marshall Management president Michael Marshall. "We are seeing two types of owners seeking our services--those who are losing money, and those who are making less and less money every year. Neither group is happy, and both are doing something about it."
