Belfast Regeneration Strategy Unveiled

LONDON-A 15-year strategy for the regeneration of Belfast has gone out for public consultation. Drawn up by GVA Grimley, the plan looks to use retail development as a catalyst for economic an dphysical regeneration.

LONDON-A proposed regeneration framework for Belfast city centre–drawn up by property consultant GVA Grimley–has been issued for consultation. Commissioned by Northern Ireland’s Department for Social Development, the Belfast city centre regeneration framework sets out a 15-year plan of phased development that will reposition Belfast as a leading European city.

John Spellar MP, the Minister with responsibility for social development says: “The review was commissioned to take an informed look at the area and to propose an integrated and sustainable framework for the medium to long-term regeneration of the heart of Belfast.
