Law Firm Inks 24,000-SF Lease at EOP's Embarcadero Place

PALO ALTO, CA-Carr & Ferrell LLP has signed a seven-year lease for 24,000 sf of class A office space at Equity Office’s four-building, 192,000-sf Embarcadero Place campus in the heart of Palo Alto.

Consolidating from two nearby locations, one of which is already in Embarcadero Place, the technology law firm is ironically taking well-appointed space that was occupied by Brobeck, Phelger A Harrison LP, a law firm that rode the technology wave and then ran aground amid the tech wreck.

The firm’s managing partner Barry Carr tells GlobeSt.com the leases at the firm’s existing locations – 2100 Geng Rd. and 225 East Bayshore – expire in within a few weeks of when the firm expects to begin occupying its new location, 2200 Geng Rd. The firm will occupy the first floor of the two-story building, and has the right of first refusal for half of the second floor, says Carr.
