The new tenant, a California public charter school known as Coastal Academy, will occupy 18,587 sf in the 23,000-sf project, according to the terms of its ten-year lease. It plans to move into its new space by September 15, 2003. The agreement is valued at $3.8 million.

Located at 4183 Avenida De La Plata in the Rancho del Oro business park, the CornerStone development is comprised of solely class A office space. De La Plata officials tout the project as the first office development to be built on spec in Oceanside in more than a decade. Designed by architectural firm LR Design Associates, it is constructed of an exterior tile veneer over structural masonry and steel frame.

Jim Benson and John Walters of Coldwell Banker Commercial – North County Properties represented both parties in the recent transaction.
