The new 1,200-sf branch is expected to be completed around the end of the year.

"Breaking ground for our third location following less than two years of operation as a financial institution says a lot about the support we have received from the communities of St. Clair and Algonac, where our first two offices are located," said Roy Klecha, Jr., president and CEO of the bank. "Seaway Community Bank is obviously answering a need for local community-oriented banking. We are extremely excited about bringing our high level of customer satisfaction and local decision-making to Macomb County and the opportunity to serve customers in the Richmond and Lenox Township areas."

Seaway Community Bank officially opened for business in December, 2001. Its St. Clair office is located at 1960 Fred Moore Highway, just west of Carney Drive. A second location in Algonac, located at 900 Pte. Tremble, was opened in October 2002.

Seaway Community Bank is an independent, FDIC-insured locally operated, full-service bank.
