Fast Growing Count Erects New Pre-Schools and Daycare Centers

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA-In an effort to assist Prince William County officials in accommodating the area’s growth spurt, general contractor RW Murray Co. has come on board to construct three new preschools and child care centers. According to the US Census Bureau’s Population Division, Prince William County is number 47 on the country’s 2002 list of the 100 fastest growing counties with population’s of 10,000 or more.

“The demographics are really changing in that area,” RW Murray spokesperson Kasha O. Laiks tells GlobeSt.com. “There are a lot of new homes and a lot of new families.” The total estimated cost for the three projects is approximately $3.6 million. In Gainesville at the Winwood Children’s Center, a new 9,000-sf structure is going up and is scheduled to reach completion in December. Students at the Chesterbrook Academy in Lake Ridge will have a new 7,000-sf building to call home, and construction of a new 14,400-sf Prince William Academy is expected to begin following an official ground breaking ceremony later this month.
