Development Announced for Former Sears Location

HIGHLAND PARK, MI-Burton-Katzman Development announced a housing and retail plan at the site of a former Sears store, which was demolished in 2001. Infrastructure work will begin this fall.

HIGHLAND PARK, MI-Burton-Katzman Development Co. will partner with HP Devco to build Park Wood Place, which will include 125 condominium townhouses and lofts and 6,200 sf of commercial space along Woodward Avenue, in this Detroit enclave.

The location is the site of a former Sears store, which was demolished in 2001.

The lofts are to be located above the retail space.
