Located on a 2.98-acre parcel at 420 Elbrook Dr., the wood-framed and plaster facility now houses 36 residential units. Each unit includes a patio or balcony, as well as a kitchenette with a refrigerator and microwave. The construction project has also resulted in the creation of a two-story lobby with interior balconies.

Keeton Construction, with Scott Tracy as project manager and Rich Brandt as project superintendent, built the addition on behalf of AmeriCare. Additional companies that provided their services were structural engineering firm A-Zed Structural Engineers, civil engineering firm Alta Consultants, electrical engineering firm Nutter Electrical Design, mechanical engineering firm A.L.M. Consulting and landscape architect Alhambra Group.

In addition to its Fallbrook community, AmeriCare also owns the Silvergate Retirement Residence in San Marcos. Both projects are continuing care retirement communities that offer a range of accommodations, including independent living, assisted living and Alzheimer's and dementia care. Amenities include 24-hour reception and security, scheduled transportation, apartment maintenance, weekly housekeeping, daily meals and recreational activities.
