Unico Properties Adds SVP of Management, Leasing

SEATTLE-Unico Properties has attracted a new senior vice president of management and leasing that also has experience in managing construction projects and developing customer service programs. Michael Belka, most recently a regional property manager with the Seattle office of Tower Realty Management Corp., will lead the management and leasing team for Seattle-based Unico, which owns and operates 6 million sf of office space.

At Redwood City, CA-based Tower, Belka was responsible for overall property management including financial planning, leasing support and operations. He oversaw a 3 million-sf portfolio that included class A commercial office buildings, suburban office parks and an industrial distribution warehouse up and down the West Coast. He also led development of the company’s customer service program. Prior to Tower, Belka managed construction projects for privately-held RKO Construction Inc. and served as a property manager with Wright Runstad & Company in Seattle and with Hines Interests in San Francisco.
