CommonWealth Plans $100M, 400,00-SF Office Project

COSTA MESA, CA-The 18-story development, to become part of the Two Town Center complex, would be the first new high-rise in this city in 10 years. The tower will sit on a site in the heart of Costa Mesa's Theater and Arts District.

COSTA MESA, CA-Developer CommonWealth Partners of Los Angeles plans to build a $100 million, 400,000-sf, 18-story, class A office tower at CommonWealth’s existing Two Town Center complex that would be the first new high-rise in the city in 10 years.

To be designed by the architectural firm of Johnson Fain, the new office tower would occupy a site in the heart of Costa Mesa’s Theater and Arts District, at Park Center Drive at Anton Boulevard.

No date has been set for the beginning of construction of the tower, which be sited around a newly designed arts plaza. Brett Munger, chief operating officer of CommonWealth Partners, describes the building design as “a slender shaft of high performance glass planes,” with a lobby finished in natural stone, featuring tailored millwork and custom lighting. Munger says the new project demonstrates CommonWealth’s “commitment to this area’s continued growth,” adding that the new building “will be geared toward the dynamics and demand of this unique market.”
