Fleming Seeks Higher Bid for 449,470-SF Warehouse

YORK, PA-The existing sales contract for the food distribution center on 25.5 acres here is subject to a better offer. Keen Realty, a specialist in dispositions for bankrupt companies, will auction the property October 14.

YORK, PA-The 449,470-sf warehouse/distribution facility at 1100 North Sherman Street here, formerly occupied by bankrupt Fleming Cos., will be auctioned off on October 14. The bid deadline is noon, EST, October 9, and bids must include a cash deposit of $25,000 or 10% of the bid price, whichever is higher.

Great Neck, NY-based Keen Realty LLC, which specializes in dispositions for companies in bankruptcy, is handling the auction. Mike Matlat of Keen explains, “There is already an existing sales contract on this facility, which is subject to higher and better offers at the October auction.”

The facility, which was constructed in 1967 and expanded in 1983, is located on 25.5 acres. It contains approximately 25,452 sf of office space, 95,908 sf of cooler/freezer space, and 328,110 sf of warehouse space.
