Minnesota's First Lifestyle Center Opens at Arbor Lakes

MAPLE GROVE, MN-The 411,000-sf project is the third phase of Arbor Lakes, which now has 1.1 million sf of retail space.

MAPLE GROVE, MN-The first open-air lifestyle center in the Twin Cities opened Friday with the debut of The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes here, a 411,000 sf shopping center. The developer of the $90 million project, which is about four-fifths leased, was developed by Minnetonka, MN-based Opus Northwest and Kansas City-based Red Development.

The project, located near the intersection of Interstates 94 and 494, includes such retailers as Williams-Sonoma, Borders Books & Music, Pottery Barn, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Aeropostale, California Pizza Kitchen.

“The open-air, pedestrian-friendly design allows consumers to enjoy a sense of community while shopping, dining or just visiting in the common areas,” says Scott Rehorn, partner at RED Development.
