Both gourmet grocery destinations will be 60,000 sf. Details of Giant's leasing deals have not been disclosed, but according to NAI Direct, neighborhood service center retail space in Northern Virginia generally rents for $20 to $35 per-sf.

Dominion Valley Market Square is a 250,000-sf mixed-use project in Prince William County that is scheduled to deliver by early 2005, and the mixed-use South Riding Market Square offers 270,000 sf of retail space alone in Loudoun County and will debut late next year.

"We are pleased that Giant will be opening in our centers, and expect that this will serve as the catalyst to attracting other high-quality retailers, restaurants and cafes," says Madison Retail Group principal James Farrell. Madison Retail Group is handling leasing activities at both new properties.
